The awards were given for the submissions of Phase 2 only.
This year's 3rd prize was divided between two different winners.

1st prize 5.000 Euro
2nd prize 3.000 Euro

At the beginning of the project, a two-day Kick-Off Meeting provided research insights, discussions and workshops with the cooperating companies in Bonn and in the DHL Innovation Center in Troisdorf.

A fixed rate of expenses was allocated to each university, which covered all expenses incurred whilst

traveling to the meetings, model making and shipping. The amount was related to the distance between the location of the University and Leverkusen, the headquarter of Bayer MaterialScience.

The coordinators have invited the winners to Hamburg for the awards ceremony. The results will be made available to expert media for publication. The coordinators intend to organize different exhibitions of all project results.

Of 144 preliminary concepts generated in phase 1, the jury selected 48 to be developed further through phase 2. After all 42 concepts and design models were submitted for the final evaluation by the jury.
